Technical Resources is one of Australia’s largest and most successful resource recruitment specialists.

Prior to bringing DogHouse Media on board, Technical Resources had a small web presence and very limited functionality within its site. The company knew this needed to change since the online recruitment space was skyrocketing. With this in mind, we set out to create a functionally-rich, yet appealing application that made searching and applying for jobs seamless on the front-end, and managing applications, jobs and candidate information flawless on the back-end. The result was an extensive, flexible, and easy to use/manage job and candidate databank.

To help engage site visitors, the home page has a Flash-based, self-loading and attractive image in the centre of the screen. For added flair, it features ‘joggling’ menu items that move around as you hover over them and the use of solid, primary colours to create a sense of process simplicity. This helps to engage the audience.

Job candidates can, via an extranet, create online user accounts to manage their personal details as well as keep their resumes updated. Automated job alerts are sent to relevant employment prospects, and on the back end, site administrators can manage the candidates and job inventory.

We have recently been re-contracted by Technical Resources to evaluate and redesign their internal database and payroll systems in order to streamline the flow of internal data and optimise internal business processes. The goal is to increase staff efficiency and accelerate candidate placements.
