Yes, after a few years of submitting sites to the Web Awards, it finally paid off! In 2010 we had not one but two sites nominated for awards. The first being The Resource Channel with its industry Blog / Job Board and the second, an entry for the regional WA region, Stand Together for Safety.
Looking at the competition, it was a big ask, but DogHouse Media came through with the goods, The Resource Channel crossed the line in first place! That is: the Official National Web Award for Best Blog. Quite an achievement to say the least. And yes we do like talking ourselves up, but with feathers like this in your cap I think you are allowed to.
Now we cant take all the credit for this win, the website would just be a very functional shell without girls at The Resource Channel. The amount of work that goes into the site is evident on every page and they are as much to do with this win as we are. Congratulations Jody and Lisa you deserve it!
The runner up... In a very close 2nd place we had Stand Together for Safety with a nomination for the Arts & Events - West Coast Region category.
So Bring On 2011!!
